HiAOOS joins the Sensor Decade

The Sensor Decade is a long-term initiative, beginning as a national meeting, and eventually growing into an international meeting arena for discussing leading sensor research. By meeting and discussing trends and visions, experts can accelerate new ideas, aid the growth of SME technology providers, establish new start-ups and long-term strategic alignments.

The demand for expertise and capacity within microfabrication, microchip design and microsensors will increase significantly in Europe and globally in the coming years. These technologies are essential for realising the digitalisation of the physical world and maximising the potential of Artificial Intelligence. Sensors will play as essential role in clean and safe mobility, energy-efficient industry, the protection of our ecosystems, and sustainable healthcare.

The Sensor Decade conference brings together experts from a broad range of disciplines to discuss emerging innovations and future technological solutions. The conference includes a Student Expo that celebrates young inventors and entrepreneurs, as well as sessions shared with the Research School for Training the Next Generation of Micro- and Nanotechnology Researchers in Norway conference (TNNN)

HiAOOS’ Arne Johan Hestnes, Kongsberg Discovery, will be a speaker at the event. Be sure to check in with him to find out more about HiAOOS.

Dates: 5-6- June 2024.
